The process goes as follows: cruise lines and tour operators share their itineraries, pricing and ship content with Widgety. Widgety’s in-house team then enriches the data with fare sets, inclusions, highlights, themes, mapped ports, unique destination imagery and pre- and post-cruise extensions. This information is available through Widgety’s API, Embeddable Widget, Dashboard and will soon be available through the AI Cruise Assistant. Pontoon offers an alternative solution, designed for WordPress.
The integration lets agents choose which information they want to feature on their WordPress website, across any pages, in their own branding. On the front-end, this helps businesses strengthen their visual identity. On the back-end Pontoon has several benefits which bring value to travel agencies. Firstly, it’s SEO friendly – something that similar integrations can’t achieve. The integration is low-maintenance, with BANC handling updates, and thanks to optimised API usage, server strain is reduced, greatly improving performance.
