The Widgety Wrap Up 2023

2023 has been another busy year for team Widgety, and we wanted to share with you some of the key things that have happened in the last 12 months.

802 ships have been updated in full this year, including 50 new ships that have been added to the Widgety platform from scratch.

Our new Travel Platform has so far rolled out to around half of all cruise lines. We've added over 10,000 new images for operators and ships, and 500 unique FAQs.

Over 1200 new brochures and resources have been added to Widgety; these might be consumer facing or trade-only, be seasonal trips, last minute offers, agent incentives and more.

We now have downloadable materials from over 120 cruise and tour operators.

Resources added to Widgety are available on our Brochure Rack Widgets, which are FREE to all travel agents.

5 New Cruise Integrations

We welcomed on board - Oceanwide Expeditions, Nicko Cruises, Riverside Luxury Cruises, Havila Voyages & Crystal Cruises.

Pricing, availability, itineraries and ship information are all available now. Get in touch if you’d like to feature any of these on your Widgets or API!

In total, we now have 66 cruise lines integrated, plus a growing number of tour operators available in our new API.

140 new travel agencies signed up to use our Cruise Search and Brochure Rack Widgets in 2023 - some are for large consortia while others are for small independent companies.

Over 30,000 individual homeworking travel agents now have access to a Widgety Cruise Search or Brochure Rack.

Approximately 85% of the UK travel industry now uses Widgety content in some way, and we have a growing presence in the US as well.

And Internally...

We said hello to three new Widgeties - Alfie and Ethan in the IT team, and Sam in content. Plus we had our first Widgety baby born, congratulations Gráinne!

The new Widgety Travel Platform took its first steps into the world, launching with comprehensive operator pages, unique customer lists for every brand and a Resource Centre full of videos, FAQs and downloads; shortly followed by new ship pages.

We've attended more events than we can count, and even hosted one of our own for the very first time.

2024 will see a big upgrade to our most popular Widgets to include cruise and tours in multiple currencies, a brand new Holidays API, and more operators than ever before. Plus faster servers, additional features and a huge roll out for travel agents.
