Every operator has a Widgety login, giving full visibility of your brand, training links, how to book, and all the agents that receive your content feed globally – and also the ones that don’t.

Third-Party Travel Technology Companies: We supply our content to appear on websites, back office systems and quotation software.

With the introduction of our Dashboard and AI Chatbot in 2026, we’ll also be able to offer unique analytics and insights into how agents interact with your content, and how your brand performs across the wider industry.

How do we do this?

Traditionally, if an agent wanted to display up-to-date itineraries, pricing, and availability on their website, they would have to contact each cruise line and tour operator individually, request their API feed, and somehow integrate it into their system.

This process is time-consuming and often inefficient, as APIs differ in format, complexity, and reliability, with no industry standard to follow.

That’s where Widgety comes in.

We gather all of the different data sources — whether from APIs, flat files, or spreadsheets — provided by cruise lines and tour operators, and input them into our system. The quality of all content is monitored, and any inconsistencies are investigated and corrected. Our technology then standardises and maps this information into one simple, unified format.

Using that standardised data, we create user-friendly Widgets, such as our embeddable Widget and Ship iFrames, or our API. Travel agents can easily integrate these Widgets into their websites or quoting systems to provide their clients with accurate and up-to-date holiday options.

Data provided by operators is enhanced by our in-house team who manually build and maintain:

Looking Ahead

From 2026, we’ll launch a major data and analytics program, showing operators:

  • Which agents are searching for your cruises – by branch, consortia and region
  • What agents are searching for – itineraries, offers, pricing and promotions.
  • When and how the searches happen – identifying peak periods and behavioural patterns.
  • An overview of cruise search trends across the UK and Ireland – including competitive benchmarking.

 

In 2026, we will also launch our AI chatbot:

  • This tool has been in testing for 8 months, and is currently being trialled by over 750 agents.
  • The Chatbot is currently helping agents answer questions in-store, over the phone and in training sessions.
  • For apprentices and new-to-cruise agents, it’s an invaluable tool which can be used to explain your brand, offers and competitive edge.

Future Commitment

  • We are now working even more closely with operators, using dedicated account managers for IT and content.
  • This allows you to easily and quickly push marketing messages, offers and promotions – making Widgety a key part of your marketing strategy.
  • We also work directly with consortia including TTNG, Advantage, CLIA and Inteletravel. Without Widgety, your marketing collateral, selling guides and analytics would not reach these groups.
  • Working together, we can combine new data insights, with our AI chatbot and live booking tools to enhance agent experience and allow you to easily increase sales.

Presently over 90% of UK travel agents use Widgety. We provide all cruise and tour operators with a dashboard. Here they can review all the content we have, check all their holidays are loaded, see the current pricing plus view a list of all agents taking that content from Widgety. They can also see the Widgety clients that are not working with them.

We are not a travel agent, we don’t sell holidays, or build websites. We’re also not affiliated with any specific third party.

We have a range of our own products, including our comprehensive Widgety API and a selection of easy-to-install Widgets. Widgety also have a range of solutions from third parties, which you can see in our Marketplace.

We don’t charge for distribution. Our pricing is determined by the size of your cruise fleet and whether it's ocean or river. For tour operators, we currently offer a fixed fee. As we expand, we may introduce pricing models for different markets, but for now, everything is included.

While we try to get you up and running as quickly as possible, integration schedules can mean a short wait before you're fully set up.
